Make sure you go to the bottom and read all of the news. I added pictures afterwards and they were put on top!!! Hee Hee still learning how to use.
BTW ... I forgot to mention that we went on a Canoe Trip with friends and family on June 23rd & 24th. We had a great time!!!! Floated down the river (Steve paddled, Donna was Donnahonis sun bathing) Sat., then stopped on a beach that evening, put up tents and cooked out. So much fun around the camp fire. Next morning we got up, ate breakfast (Carrie made beakfast burritos and pancakes), broke down camp, loaded the canoes and floated down the river. After unloading the canoes, we showered and went to Wings for dinner. Steve and I stayed the night a Jeff & Heather's (too tired to drive back to b'ham), then got up at 5:00 am Monday morning to go back to B'ham and work. We were exhausted, but had so much fun. Can't wait till the next trip ... Will post pictures when I get some.
Too hot now, just trying to stay warm in the air condition house ... in the 100's in B'ham this week.

Hi Everyone ... My daughter introduced this site to me as a way to let everyone keep up with what is new in the Freese Household. Since we have so many friends and family out of town, I thought this might be fun. So, here we go ...
Hope you enjoy the picture of Steve and I ... it shows our true colors and as all of you know we bleed Orange and Blue.
To start off, I will try and catch you up to date.
Steve returned home mid December of last year from his deployment at Ft. Benning, Ga. It is nice to have him back again ... Now I have a man around the house to help out with all the yard work we have with a new house.
After Steve got back, we went to visit his dad and Marilyn in Williamsburg, VA. They took us to Washington DC (where Donna has always wanted to go) for a couple of days. We were able to see several of the sites ... Washington Monument, tomb of the Unknown Soilder, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Monument, WWII Memorial, Library of Commerence, National Archive, and many others. More to see next time we are up that way. We also were able to see Old Williamsburg and eat dinner where Washington stayed. This was fun since all were dressed in authentic dress and presented us with some history.
Steve has been settling back into his position as HR Manager at Saiia Construction since January. He has been very busy there again.
April 24th marked 1 year in our new home ... time passes by so fast. We have had quite a few trials and tribulations trying to get our punch list complete. However, our builder has come around for the most part and today we only have 3 minor issues left to fix. Believe you me, I found out what everyone meant when they said that building a house is not easy!!!! But, we have come a long way and both of us love the house. I have been busy decorating the inside and adding my touches to the yard (as Steve allows). Steve is the yard man and says he has his plans for it ... he has been busy clearing the hill that leads to the lake & our common area, and is in the process of building a waterfall.
May 2nd, I was involved in a RIF at Emageon. I had a month off, which was a nice summer break. Memorial Day weekend, Steve and I went to Panama City Beach, FL. We stayed at his mother's condo with Steve's brother Jeff and his wife Heather. We all had a great weekend of fun and sun. Everyone left on Monday, except me ... I got to spend an additional couple of days in the sun before going home to prepare to start my new position.
June 4th, I started with McKesson Automation as a Project Manager for IntelliSelf Supply. I will still be traveling Monday - Thursday (Steve gets to enjoy some occassional peace & quiet)when the project requires me onsite. The nice change is when I am not traveling, I have home office. It is nice to roll out of bed, grab a cup of coffee, walk across the house to my office and begin work. No more 280 traffic!!!! My first implementation will be in Mobile, AL. I must say it will be nice to be implementing a product in the South this winter ... since I have spent the last 2 winters in the North with snow!!!
As many of you know, I lost my father June 28th. He had been on chemo for cancer, a little over a year. He was a great man who left behind so many good memories for everyone that knew him. It has been hard on those of us left behind, but we do take comfort in knowing that he is home now, not suffering anymore and lives in our hearts forever.
July 19th, Steve and I met in Chicago (I was in Pittsburgh for training & he in Birmingham) Midway Airport, rented a car and drove to Port Washington, WI to visit Steve's relatives and attend Fish Day (July 22nd). On our way up, Steve took a drive down memory lane as he took me through what used to be Ft. Sheradon (now the Town of Ft. Sharadon). He got to see his old schools, house, neighborhood, etc. While in Port Washington, we were able to see Steve's Aunt Jan, cousins (Wendy, Holly & Tory) and thier families. We were also able to have breakfast and nice visit on the 22nd with Steve's Aunt Mary & Uncle Stan. We stayed with Margo & Hans at his Condo on the lake. Burr was it ever cold with that lake breeze on the forth floor balcony. Hans's son (Craig) and his wife (Ellen) were also staying there and we had a great time with them and Han's son (Tim) and his wife (Sheryl) when they came over.
Well, I guess that about brings us up to date ...
